St Peter’s has a commitment to prayer and a congregation that believes in the power of prayer. Every member of the congregation who made a request has a secret prayer partner who prays anonymously and regularly for the individual.
Prayer groups meet regularly both in church and in people’s homes. Morning prayers are said in church at 9am on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week – and everyone is welcome to attend. Prayer ministry is offered at each Sunday morning 10am service. There are also special healing services. St
Peter’s has a team of dedicated people who have formed a prayer chain. Prayer requests are passed to members of the team and they commit to praying faithfully and regularly for people who make those requests or for situations they are informed about. They make full use of emails, text messaging and phone calls to keep the team up to date.
Lay Pastoral Ministers are available to pray with the sick either in their homes or in hospital by request.
