St Peter’s Gildersome and St Paul’s Drighlington have now formally completed the process of becoming a united benefice.

St Peter’s and St Paul’s have formed a very close relationship over the past few years and are committed to growing and working together where appropriate.

St Paul’s would be generally considered to be a more ‘traditional’ church than St Peters, with a robed choir, organ and a more liturgical style. This is absolutely fine – we enjoy our diversity, and are not in competition with each other.

That said, those who wish to worship in a more traditional Anglican style may wish to try the service at St Pauls, which begins at 11.00 am. Our Vicar, the Reverend Paul Walker, leads both churches and goes straight from the morning service at St Peters to be at St Pauls each week.
